Register by Oct. 2 to avoid a payment penalty in 2019.
The registration deadline to participate in quality reporting or an improvement activity under the Quality Payment Program (QPP) is quickly approaching. Eligible clinicians need to register by Oct. 2 to meet the 90-day reporting requirement for 2017.
You can use multiple qualified registries and Qualified Clinical Data Registries (QCDRs) to report on quality measures and, in some cases, improvement activities, relevant to gastroenterologists.
Improvement Activity Attestation
When you report an improvement activity, you must attest by indicating “yes” to each activity you select that meets the 90-day requirement (activities that you performed for at least 90 consecutive days during the current performance period).
AGA is promoting several MIPS-eligible improvement activities to assist GIs in identifying appropriate and practice-relevant improvement activities to meet Pick Your Pace requirements.
AGA Clinical Guidelines
- SonarMD delivers care management algorithms to help providers and patients dramatically improve the management of chronic diseases in the new era of value-based care.
Manage My Surgery
- Manage My Surgery navigates the patient through all phases of their upcoming procedure. It engages the patient, family and entire care team to improve patient satisfaction, reduce costs and deliver high-quality care to the patient.
After downloading and actively participating in an improvement activity, you will be able to attest to the fact you have met the 2017 MIPS improvement activity requirement. CMS will release its attestation website around Jan. 1, 2018. AGA will announce new information about the QPP attestation website as it becomes available.
