The New Gastroenterologist (TNG), AGA’s publication targeted to early career physicians, now lives in GI and Hepatology News.
Beginning this month, TNG is switching over to a primarily digital format, making it easier to view articles online, enhancing access and increasing distribution to more members. In TNG’s new format, current and future readers will receive each issue via a quarterly e-newsletter and all full articles will be available on the GI & Hepatology News website.
TNG is also debuting an “In Focus” series of concise updates on pertinent topics in our field. The first “In Focus” article, which appears in this issue of GI & Hepatology News, is written by Nitin Ahuja, MD, MS, and James Reynolds, MD, and provides an enlightening overview of the evaluation and management of chronic constipation.
Also in this issue, Richard Peek, MD, AGAF, – one of the co-editors-in-chief of Gastroenterology – provides a summary of the newly created one-year editorial fellowship for the AGA’s flagship journal.
Additionally, Manreet Kaur, MD, and Allyson Wyatt, MD, provide a primer on how to successfully aid patients transitioning from a pediatric GI practice to an adult GI practice.
If you have any questions about these changes, or if there are any topics you’d be interested in writing or reading about in TNG, please contact Editor-in-Chief Bryson Katona or Managing Editor Ryan Farrell.
